I think it's because so many of my friends are either having a baby, or just had a baby...but I seem to look at kid focused products/fasahion/design/books a lot as of late. I am always torn with this market.
Designer side of my brain says 'kids are so lucky today, there is so much cool stuff out there for them exposing them to much more creativity at such an early stage'.
Practical side of the brain says 'great. more stuff in the world, just what we need. I learned to appreciate my older sisters 10 year old hand me down ski sweaters...so should everyone else, bah!'
Well needless to say there is some pretty amazing stuff out there and the latest online publication of small magazine does not disappoint.
Is it wrong that a 30-something year old would want the same coat as a 6-8-10 year old?
Well fashion or not...books are always a necessity ( although I am always amazed at how much children books are, not to discredit the author or artist....but just one book for a gift doesn't seem like enough to me...) Regardless, the one book that you can expect from me is Charlie Harper's ABC's...
it's Charlie Harper...need I say more? That reminds me I should really pick one up just for myself!
